Babysitting

So today I decided to tell you about my babysitting job.  Some people call me a babysitter and to others I am a part-time nanny.  I work 15 - 20 hours a week for a family in a local neighborhood.  They have 2 girls who are in Kindergarten and 3rd grade.  They are really sweet and fun.  I pick them up at their school and we walk back to their house and I watch them until mom or dad gets home.

Blog Action Day 08

Today is Blog Action Day and bloggers around the world will be posting about the same topic.  This year's topic is poverty.  Everybody needs to remember that there are those less fortunate than us no matter what our current circumstances may be.  So start a dialogue, volunteer or raise money.  Please do something just don't sit there.

Flock

So just wanted you guys to know that I use the Flock browser. It is a great idea.  It allows me to see updates on Facebook, Digg, Flickr and other great programs instantly while I browse other sites.  It also has some great blogging tools that allow me to post quickly.

Urban Decay 24/7

Okay so today after I was done with work I stopped by Sephora to get some eye liner. I have been reading good reviews about Urban Decay's 24/7 Glide-on eye pencil and decided to give it a try. This was the eyeliner used in conjunction with my LORAC palette when I got my eyes done last week. I had seen on the website that Sephora was offering 2 kits of 5 travel size of these eye liners and I planned to pick one up. I was surprised to find that my usually well-stocked Sephora does not carry these kits in their store. I decided to pick up the eye liner in Zero (a basic black) and order the kit online. I love the way this liner looks when I put Sapphire Storm from the LORAC palette over top. It changes the liner into a deep teal and looks great with my blue eyes. I will try to upload pictures later but I am having trouble getting clear ones.

Great Find!!!

Beauty is one of my favorite topics and is the main reason why I started this blog. Last week I was at Sephora and decided to get my makeup done by one of their artists because I wanted a fun new look for my eyes. She introduced me to a great item, LORAC's Multi-platinum palette. This palette includes six eyeshadow colors - Rockstar- a great white, Serenity- a shimmery pinkish tan, Heavy Metal- a stone grey, Sapphire Storm- a great deep blue, Dreamy- a bluish grey, and Techno- a sheer glittery black. There is also a great blush called Couture, it is pink with a little bit of peach. It reminds me of NARS Orgasm. This palette is a great deal at $37. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a palette that they can play with that also has some great neutrals for everyday wear.
